---

Thank the Lord that we have YES today for the broadcast team

TOP 1: Mussina going for NY -- Figgins pops to center ... the campfire defense converges ... Jeter reaches, Womack doesn't call him off ... the ball drops, a leadoff bloop single -- On the 0-1 pitch to Cabrera, Figgins goes ... the throw to second is on the money, the tag by Cano is perfect, Figgins is erased (CS), one down

Full count to Cabrera, he goes down swinging, two away -- Erstad pops to second to retire the side

BOT 1: Santana going for Angels -- Jeter battles, has a quality AB, then grounds one up the middle for a leadoff single -- Cano pops to center, one away -- Jeter goes, Sheffield slaps a line single to left ... runner to third on the hit -- ARod grounds to third, Figgins charges and starts a rundown ... Jeter is hung up and tagged out, two down -- runners now first and second for Matsui, he lines to center to end the inning

TOP 2: Vlad grounds the full count payoff up the middle, off the mound, and into center for a leadoff single -- Anderson blasts one to the upper deck in right, a two run shot ... wow -- Halos lead, 2-0

Finley goes down swinging, one down -- Rivera bloops to second in shallow right, two away -- Bengie Molina blasts one to left ... a two out, solo shot to left -- the score is now Angels 3-0

Kennedy bloops a single into shallow left, in between Jeter and Matsui -- Kennedy goes on the 1-2 pitch to Figgins, he steals second fairly easily -- Figgins grounds the full count payoff to second to end the rally

BOT 2: Giambi flies to center, one down -- Posada grounds to third, two away -- Tino goes down swinging to end the inning

TOP 3: Cabrera pops to right, one pitch, one down -- Erstad hits a slow chop to first, Tino beats him to the bag, two away -- Vlad hits a slow roller down the first base line, Mussina covers it and tags Vlad to retire the side

BOT 3: Womack rips a shot into the rightfield corner, and easily cruises in with a leadoff double -- full count to Jeter, he draws a walk, runners at first and second

Cano goes after the first pitch and pops up to second in right, one down ... gakk -- runners go on the first pitch to Sheffield, the throw is so on the money ... DEAD (Womack: CS), lag runner to second -- Sheffield is plunked, runners now first and second -- Black out to confer

Runners at first and second, two down for ARod, he grounds to deep short ... Cabrera gloves and jump throws to make the force at second, great play to end the inning

Yankees are flat and pressing so far today ... you would think they were the ones who played an 18th inning marathon last night

TOP 4: Anderson grounds to first, one down -- Finley goes down looking, two away -- Rivera smashes one out to right center ... neither Womack or Sheffield will get to it, it bounces up into the stands and falls back in for a leadoff double -- Bengie Molina goes down on a checkswing to retire the side ... he gripes with the ump

BOT 4: Matsui grounds to third, one down -- Giambi goes down swinging, two away -- Posada rips one down the line in right (replay: FOUL), off the stands, in with a two out single -- full count to Tino, he goes down looking to end the inning

BOT 5: Womack grounds to second, one down -- full count to Jeter, the payoff ... he goes down looking, two away -- Cano grounds to second to end the inning

TOP 6: Erstad lines a leadoff single to right -- Vlad softly chops back to the mound, Mussina gloves and starts a 143 double play, two away -- Anderson hits a liner at the mound, just out of Muss's reach ... Jeter fields and makes the play to retire the side

BOT 6: Sheffield sharply lines to center ... Finley drifts back on it and makes the play, one down -- ARod goes down looking, two away -- Matsui is plunked on the knee and writhing on the ground -- trainer out to check on him, he slowly walks to first

Giambi draws a walk, runners now first and second -- Black out to confer -- Posada comes to the plate as the tying run, he battles then lines to right center ... Rivera comes in, and makes a great diving catch to end the inning ... tough luck

TOP 7: Finley flies to right, one down -- Rivera pops to second, two away -- Bengie Molina grounds one under ARod's glove and into left for a two out single -- Kennedy grounds to second to retire the side

Seventh Inning Sleep, Halos lead, 3-0

BOT 7: Tino rips a blast to right center ... GONE into the stands, a leadoff solo shot -- the score is now Angels, 3-1

Womack grounds to second, one down -- Donnelly warms for LA-A -- Jeter blasts one to the wall in right ... Rivera leaps, he can't glove it ... Jeter in with a double

That will be all for Santana, a mostly dominant performance until this inning -- Donnelly now pitching for LA-A -- Cano drills an atom ball ... but right at first, gloved by Erstad, two away -- Sheffield pops to first to end the rally ... a little bit of missed opps here

TOP 8: Mussina continues -- Figgins chops to first, Mussina covers ... Tino's throw is there at the same time as the runner ... but Muss doesn't toe the bag, an error on the pitcher -- Muss grumbles, and Torre out to confer with the first base ump

Yankees pitch out on the first pitch to Cabrera, and Cabrera swings and flies the bat down the first baseline -- Angels call hit and run again on 0-2, fouled away -- Sturtze and Groom warm for NY -- Yankees pitch out on 1-2, lots of check backs and step offs so far -- full count to Cabrera, he flies to center ... Womack starts late two foot backpedalling, and gets it, one away

On the 1-0 to Erstad, Figgins goes ... the throw by Posada to second chases him back to first -- Erstad grounds to the mound, Muss pounces, turns and starts a 163 inning ending double play

BOT 8: Shields now pitching for LA-A -- ARod grounds leadoff single through to center -- Matsui grounds back to the mound to start a 163 double play, two down -- Giambi goes down swinging to end the inning

TOP 9: Muss out after a hard luck, solid start -- Sturtze now pitching for NY -- Vlad grounds a leadoff single up the middle and into center -- Anderson bloops a broken bat single to center in no man's land between the infield and center, runners now first and second -- Finley grounds to first, the play advances both runners, one down

Runners at second and third for Rivera, he grounds to third ... great diving stop by ARod, no play possible to home, one run scores ... and guns out Rivera dogging it to first -- Angels increase to 4-1

Runner at second for Bengie Molina, he battles but goes down swinging to end the rally

BOT 9: KRod in to close -- Posada grounds to first, Erstad knocks it down but has trouble with it, flips to KRod covering, one down -- Tino flies to left, one pitch, now two away -- Womack flies to center to end the game

And imagine that, no hotdog antics from KRod

FINAL: Angels win, 4-1
