Luau Live from Vegas: Day 2

Well, we were tired from doing a lot of stuff yesterday

A bit of a late start out of the gate

Actually, I suppose today was my day ... after running all over the mall trying to find clothes and shoes for SD to wear to the shows yesterday. This of course since she was too hardheaded to be driven back home on Tuesday night. All editorializing aside ....

Premium Outlets

Well, we took a walk around the PO, and this is also reasonably close to downtown, probably not even five minutes away by car. It's hard now to go to outlets because we have most of them here at Waikele. The notable ones that we poked our head into were Oakley, which if that is outlet pricing, I am a stupid monkey ... Nike was quite good, Adidas not so good ... and a few others where it was like okay, I wouldn't buy any of this at any price

Star Trek: The Experience

Oh, this one is a must if you are a Trek fan. It's at the Hilton, and yeah, a bit pricey, so I hope you are a triple A member like me to get a few bucks off.

It features a walk through museum that has displays, glass cases with costumes, and other cool stuff to see. And it has two interactive rides, one involving the Borg, the other the Klingons. The Borg one involves 4D, so put on those Captain EO glasses, hee hee LOL -- The Klingon one involves a flight simulator, so if you get queasy ... like SD, you may feel sick afterwards

And it has the world's largest Star Trek Store, so prepare to shell ... what remaining cashish there is, after the big admission

In N Out Burger

After SD made some calls, we headed to the nearby INOB -- Funny, but I don't remember INOB being such an OKAY burger, boy I overhyped my LA memories ... disappointing

Tonight's Entertainment

Well tonight we slipped through the backstreets of Paradise to get to our show at the Bellagio to see some Cirque du Soleil. Traffic ... again ... a bitch

Oh and by the way, if you are brown and look ... well remotely Middle Eastern, or should I say in the estimation of parking security, they will stop your car and force you to open up and have your car searched. We obviously don't look that way, but I thought that was a bit overkill even in the post 911 era

Since we had time to kill before the show we walked around a bit ... this hotel is simply awesome. I mean, lots a really cool ornate, decorative stuff to see

There was this really cool indoor garden with pretty huge statues and cool plants

What we really liked was going outside to go see the prancing waters, aka fountains choreographed to music ... SD refers to them as the sprinkler show, well ... these were some major sprinklers LOL

Cirque du Soleil's O

What to say about this show ... in one word, a SPECTACLE.

It is hard to characterize in words or to rationalize ... because it doesn't really make sense. I really liked the music, some of the acrobatic spots which are totally holyshit moments ... the other 70% I could leave

In other words, I don't want to say that it suct ... but I do think some people need to be slapped for exaggerating their appreciation of this show. I honestly don't believe 98% of people will GET IT
