Riddle me this
As the master of low expectations related to shipping companies, I am puzzled again with certain matters of efficiency
I have a package coming to me that I had hoped will get to me prior to our departure to the ninth island. So the vendor emails me this morning with the details, and looking at it, I am puzzled about a certain company's approach to being efficient as a shipper
This company that rhymes with Chex has done this to me before on a 2D. The package will be picked up on Fri, leave the continent on Sat, get logged Sun evening ... and be promised for delivery on TUESDAY
Even though it is on the island, and I could go at any moment, hop in my car and go get it ... it was not put on today's truck to get delivered to me today. Wouldn't it be more EFFICIENT to get it out of your warehouse facility sooner rather than letting it sit
Needless to say, today would qualify as the so called SECOND DAY ... but for Hawaii, this would be like premium fake "overnight" shipping, I guess?
I am finding it harder to support companies that use this Ex shipping service because they do stupit crap like this that results in stuff getting delivered late, when all they have to do is turn out that which they can turn out for delivery
Comments
These "shipping" guys hold us all by the balls because there is no other service out there that can do what they should do... SHIP STUFF IN A TIMELY MANNER.
I've totally loss all respect for the EX. On Vday they managed to not ship the flowers that were supposed to be there that day claiming that no one was available to take the flowers. In actuallity no attempt was even made. It was a LIE that the drive/deliverer made in order to cover his ass.
2nd day air = 3 days to Hawaii. There is no EX "ground" delivery FROM Hawaii to anywhere but people can "ground" deliver things here. I don't understand how that works though. We constantly get ripped off with shipping and all the "EX" company will do is "refund your shipping fees". I still say they should compensate you for all your loss time and the possibility that your gf will kick your balls because she got no flowers for v-day.
