BOT 1: Unit going for Yankees -- Berroa bloops a pop fly double to right as Sheffield and Cano converge, but do not make the play ... psshhh

DeJesus down on strikes on a foultip into Posada's glove (RJ 1), one down -- Sweeney flies to center, two down -- Runner on second, two out for E. Brown, he absolutely smashes one to left center ... and that one will GET WET into the fountain, a 2-run shot, Royals 2-0 ... same old 2-out crap

Full count to Graffanino, he flies out to left to end the rally

TOP 2: Giambi draws a leadoff walk -- Sierra down looking ... and he didn't like that call, one down -- Bernie flies out to left, two away -- full count to Cano, the payoff is grounded to first to retire the side

BOT 2: Diaz flies out to right, one away -- Buck down looking, uno dos adios (RJ 2), two gone -- Long down swinging to end the inning (RJ 3)

TOP 3: Jeter is plunked YET AGAIN with the first pitch -- Matsui grounds to short into a 643 double play, two down -- Sheffield hits a laser to left, Long running, reaches out for it, he can't get it, it rolls to the leftfield wall, a two out double

BOT 3: McEwing lines out to short, one down -- Berroa drops a bloop double the opposite way for the second time today ... psshhh

DeJesus grounds a single up the middle, one run scores, the Royals lead 3-0

Sweeney grounds to second, Cano swipes at DeJesus, misses the tag, throws to first and gets Sweeney, two away -- Runner at second for E. Brown, he grounds to short to end the rally

TOP 4: Posada grounds to short, one gone -- Giambi smacks one to the base of the wall in right ... trying to stretch it to two, ugly slide by Giambi, but effective ... safe at second with a leadoff double

Sierra hits a first pitch comebacker to the pitcher, Giambi off the bag, Carrasco runs out to tag him, two down ... SHIRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Runner at first, two down for Bernie, he singles up the middle, runners now first and second ... and Giambi's running goof costs the Yankees a run

Cano flies the first pitch to center to retire the side

BOT 4: Graffanino flies to center, one down -- Diaz hits a sinking liner to right center, Sheffield dives, misses, and kicks the ball over to Bernie ... Diaz hustles in with a double

Buck grounds the first pitch to short, two down -- Long down swinging to end the inning (RJ 4)

TOP 5: Jeter grounds to short, one down -- Matsui goes down swinging, two away -- Sheffield pops foul to third to end the inning

BOT 5: McEwing hits a seeing eye single up the middle -- Berroa sacbunts, picked up by Posada and he throws him out at first, one down, runner to second on the play

DeJesus draws a walk, runners now first and second -- Stottlemyre out to confer -- Sweeney flies out to center, two down, the runners tag and advance

Two down, runners at second and third for E. Brown, he goes down swinging (RJ 5), the ball is dropped, he is put out at first to end the inning

TOP 6: ARod grounds to third, one down -- Posada hits a flare out to left center, two gone -- Giambi grounds to first to retire the side

BOT 6: Graffanino hits a leadoff single up the middle -- Stemle warming for Royals, it looks as if Carrasco will come out -- Graffanino steals second on the 0-1 pitch, as Posada's throw is high -- Diaz down swinging (RJ 6), one down

Runner at second for Buck, he grounds to short, the runner on second goes ... Jeter tosses to third to start a rundown, he is tagged out, two down

Long grounds to second to end the inning

TOP 7: Stemle in for Royals -- Sierra grounds a leadoff single past diving infielders and into right -- Runner goes, Bernie hits the ball hard but out in right, Sierra retreats to first, one down

Cano chops the first pitch to third, the force play is made at second to cut down the lead runner, two away -- Jeter chops the first pitch up the middle, Berroa fields and puts him out at first to retire the side

Seventh Inning Snore, Royals 3-0

BOT 7: McEwing flies out to right, one down -- Berroa grounds out to second, two away -- DeJesus takes a 2-out plunk -- runner at first for Sweeney, he lines out to left to end the inning

TOP 8: Matsui flies the first pitch to deep left, one down -- Sheffield hits an equally impressive shot to deep left ... that dies in Long's glove, two gone

ARod draws a walk -- Posada grounds one off the glove of Sweeney at first, the bounce kicks to the waiting second baseman, he throws back to first to retire the side

BOT 8: Unit still going for Yankees -- E. Brown grounds a leadoff single up the middle -- Gordon starts warming for Yankees -- Graffanino grounds to deep short, the force is made at second, one down

Yankees pitch out on 0-1, great throw by Posada, Graffanino is tagged out easily by Cano, two down -- Diaz grounds a two out single up the middle

Runner at first, two down for Buck, he goes down swinging (RJ 7) to end the inning
