Two things that have defied my expectations so far this year -- the Steelers continuing their win streak with an ugly win at Cincy -- and the UH Wahine who are just at the end of the day A TEAM -- no superstars, no egos, just playing hard and winning for each other

I have this feeling that this year is the impossible dream -- the Wahine will bring home the title in a year that no one expected them to

We saw the sequel to Bridget Jones today -- and it's an okay watch -- it's a fairly entertaining diversion -- I don't think it is as coherent or consistently funny as the first movie, but for a sequel with a very thin plot, it is good enough --- and good enough gets a B/B-

The aftermath of the Detroit fan apocalypse -- the suspensions have been handed out -- I don't think the sanctions are enough for the players -- I would like to hear that certain fans have been charged for assault and battery and that their season tickets were revoked and that they have been banned for life from attending events -- I still think the whole situation with fans getting involved is ridiculous, not only that fans think they can do shit to players just because they bought a ticket but also because of the level of security at these events -- which is never enough to prevent such things from escalating

And that is why every saturday night during football season when the home team is home -- the rust palace turns into fight club with the cops always having to mace someone -- sad and stupid
