The day after the Detroit Apocalypse fan incidents, I see that Carolina and Clemson decided to have a free range brawl this morning towards the end of their game -- did it have anything to do with last night's news coverage of the apocalypse? -- nahhhh, it couldn't be says mr. naive

I have yet to understand why our home team really stinks on the road -- in fact, the worst road season ever in terms of sheer blowouts -- even worse than the Von Mistake era
And on the other hand, they destroy teams at home -- if I could understand this team this year ... that is rhetoric of the highest order
On the other hand, I do appreciate why some people take it personal about the remarks of the coaching staff -- and feeling somehow mislead, and also feeling that the staff doesn't take responsibility, doesn't coach technique well -- is iconoclastic, adversarial, and total demagoguery
I think that people here are really nice and at times very trusting -- and that leads to at some level, a gullibility to believe in fish stories and other grand tales -- and I think that it partly comes from the second class inferiority to the "mainland" type complex -- so when a used car salesman from the nfl comes and spreads his propaganda about future success and status, people buy in and take it personal
Because us versus them is personal -- when the coach cannot understand why we feel "us versus them" -- it's almost like, sheesh, we believed you and you don't even understand what the hell we're about -- and worse, you lied to us, you overhyped things
As always, it always comes down to believe what you see, and trust what you feel -- something is rotten here -- and calling a seasonal average over six years of about 6-6/7-5 excellent is pure bullcrap -- it's no better or worse than what the best coaches have done here before
It's certainly not world shatteringly good -- I may be willing to admit that over time, that it might be the best our local team can do over any time period because there is no consistency in recruiting, coaching players to their full potential, coaching execution and technique, and just simple talent vs. talent
