Interesting Day
Well, first off, I want to thank John Edwards for making a run at the presidential nomination and giving people more choices and more issues to look at
The second thing that I was thinking about today was concerts direct to you -- yes, I know that Pearl Jam tried that in 2000 with its city CDs -- well, livedownloads.com has a few -- and notoriously Phish is providing shows online for a charge
Now this year's Madly in Anger North American tour will be available for download -- the possibility of going to a show, then getting it as a FLAC or mp3 a few days later is pretty cool -- I believe its 9.95/12.95 per show -- so obviously it can be pricey if one is hardcore about collecting -- but very cool idea, now only if they will join forces with iTunes -- cmon Lars, you said you had an iPod
I found out today that a person whom I worked with fairly recently has been committed -- yes in that 1950s sense -- and I wonder what is it about our lives nowadays that stresses us out, works us so hard, and gives us so very little pleasure -- sad, I hope that the person I am thinking about feels better real soon -- but yeah, what is it about working harder, enjoying life less, and catastrophizing everything from terror alerts to breakups -- life has become so complicated and fearful-- but why??
Lastly, I must admit that I have become utterly hooked on Winning Eleven 7 -- yes, EEGAD a soccer game for PS2 -- it's really fun, very addictive -- highly recommended, and takes up my potential sleep time
Over and out, have a good and peaceful one
